A professional association of archives representing community archives and museums, university and school archives, religious archives, municipal and thematic archives, genealogy centres as well as the provincial Nova Scotia Archives & Records Management.

Founded in 1982, the CNSA endeavours to promote archival standards, procedures and practices among those institutions entrusted with the care of Nova Scotia's documentary heritage, in all its formats.
